Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional guides

The family PC is infected again. These are the guides we wanted before our first Protocol V run: what actually scales, which files are worth double-clicking, and how the key economy really pays out.

Start with these

Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional is a survivors-like auto-shooter set inside one infected family computer. You play the mouse cursor. Viruses, adware pop-ups and corrupted system icons fill the desktop, your weapons are pieces of early-2000s software, and a run lasts somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes before the machine either gets cleaned or eats you alive.

The demo has been out since February 13, 2026 and sits at 97% positive across hundreds of reviews. The full game releases on September 28, 2026 on Steam, with 24 weapons, 62 plugins, 33 file types, 15 policies and six bosses in the launch build.

What a run actually looks like

Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional gameplay

You move across a desktop that scrolls in every direction, shooting automatically at whatever is closest. Enemies drop XP, folders hold more of it, and double-clicking a folder opens it for its contents — coins, XP, keys, files. Pop-ups chase you, messengers throw emoji at you, and the deeper you go the more the screen turns into a wall of teeth and advertising.

Two things separate this from a straight Vampire Survivors clone. First, loot is physical: files sit on the desktop and you have to walk over and open them, or drag them somewhere useful. Second, weapons do not just do damage — they stack Heat, Lag and Infect on enemies, which is where most of your real power comes from.

The demo is a real chunk of the game rather than a teaser: five protocols, the full plugin and key loop, and the Beanz meta progression are all in it as of Demo 1.2. Bosses and policies are the two headline systems that arrive with the release build.

Where to start

  • First run: the beginner guide walks through folders, Safe Folders and the picks that keep you alive past the ten minute mark.
  • Damage that scales: understand Heat, Lag and Infect before you start copying builds. Stacking is the whole game.
  • The key economy: plugins, keygens and keys is the system most players bounce off, and it is where a run gets its identity.

About the numbers on this site

Everything here comes from the developer's own patch notes, the Steam store pages for the game and demo, the in-game UI, and player reports. Where the game does not publish a number, we say so instead of guessing — this build changes often and a confident wrong figure is worse than an honest gap.
